A former Board President of his Homeowners Association, Russell formed Valencia Management Group in 1994 along with Leonard McKinley CPA, to provide Community Association Management Services to the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas. Russell is a graduate of California State University Northridge, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Following graduation he worked as a buyer for companies including May Company California, Vons Grocery Company, and Leslie’s Swimming Pool Supplies. Russell is active with the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Community Associations Institute, serving on the Board of Directors and Co-Chairing the Satellite Programs Committee.

Leonard McKinley CPA

Leonard has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration; Option Accounting Theory and Practice, graduating from California State University Northridge in May 1982. He was granted a Certified Public Accountant License in October 1984 and is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Following graduation he worked at several West Los Angeles Local Accounting Firms before starting Valencia Management Group along with Russ Hoffman in December 1994. His family has lived in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1973, and his wife Jennie’s family homesteaded the Santa Clarita Valley in 1890.

Cathy comes to us with a background in retail and office management as well as employment training and placement. Her property management experience began 12 years ago with five years as an Administrative Assistant in the Commercial Land Use and Land Development divisions at the prestigious Tejon Ranch in northern LA County, where her responsibilities included commercial property lease administration. Before joining Valencia Management Group, Cathy was the Assistant Manager at a 3,000 unit community association that boasts amenities including a lake, golf course, equestrian center, private roads and a commercial center. She has earned all four community association management designations and is an active member in her own association.

Gail Jones CCAM, CMCA, AMS, PCAM

Gail earned an Associates of Arts degree from Mount San Antonio College. She has served as the Secretary and President of her own homeowners association and moved into the management field in 1995. Gail has held both on-site and portfolio management positions. As a PCAM Gail attends continuing education programs and has served on the Programs, Expo, and Publicity committees of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Community Associations Institute.

Greg Smith, CCAM, CMCA, AMS, PCAM

Greg is a graduate of the The Master's College in Santa Clarita. He received his first management experience as the on-site manager of a 382-unit townhome community in Saugus. He obtained his CMCA certification only six months later and has since obtained his AMS and CCAM designations and has devoted himself to further education in the community association management field and participation in industry functions. He is currently in the process of obtaining the Professional Community Association manager (PCAM) designation, the highest designation offered by the Community Associations Institute.

Tina Nakamura, CCAM, CMCA, AMS

Tina is a graduate of California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Speech Communication. She comes to us with a background in retail and customer service and has worked for companies including Cartier and Universal Studios. Tina has been in the industry for 3 years and has achieved her CMCA and AMS designations and is currently working on her CCAM designation.

Ruth Moffit CMCA, AMS

Ruth comes to us with an extensive background in customer service and office management. Prior to joining VMG, Ruth worked as Grievance Liaison (customer service) and Network Department Manager for GE Dental and Vision, a division of General Electric. Ruth also gained office management experience by managing upscale dental offices in Santa Clarita, Simi Valley and Beverly Hills. Ruth has been in the association management industry for 4 years and has received her CMCA certification. She has received her CMCA and AMS Designations and plans to complete the PCAM Case Study in 2008.

Laurie Mark, CMCA, AMS

Laurie received her experience in the property management field working as the on-site manager for a 264 unit condominium community in Valencia. Laurie has been in the association management industry for 15 years and worked as a real estate agent for a Valencia based real estate company before coming to work for Valencia Management Group. She has recently obtained the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) certification and is currently working on her Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation.

Christine Albrecht CMCA

Christine, who holds a Real Estate Salesperson license, has been involved in the Community Association Management field since 2004. She has earned her Certified Manager of Community Associations designation and is currently working on obtaining her AMS designation.

Vicki Olson, CCAM

Vicki is a graduate of California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Speech Communication and Public Relations.  She comes to us with experience in the association management industry working as a community association manager in Valencia for the past four years.  She has achieved her CCAM designation and is working on completing her CMCA designation in 2008.
